NFL reportedly investigating Colts' crowd noise

The NFL is investigating charges that the Indianapolis Colts piped in noise during their defeat Sunday to the New England Patriots, Yahoo! Sports is reporting.

Patriots President Jonathan Kraft is the latest to accuse the Colts of artificially adding excessive noise to distract their opponent, Yahoo! reported.

"We're aware of it and we're looking into it," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Monday. "It may just be the TV feed from CBS, but we're checking it out."

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who led his team to a 24-20 victory with a rally in the fourth quarter, said, "I don't know how you measure levels of being deaf, but we couldn't hear anything out there."

The Colts have been accused before by piping in noise to keep opposing teams' quarterbacks from being able to communicate plays to teammates, Yahoo! said.

"We're aware of the accusations, but there has never been anything to substantiate it," Aiello said.
